LONGER TORSOS!

Longer or shorter torsos can easily be created on either the Standard Dress Form or a Form will Legs, or our Studio                        Dress Form with Half Legs.   The waist tape determines your actual waist height for pants, which can be lowered                              or raised, when you choose a form that is smaller than your waist measurements.  Our Studio Dress Forms were made from            real fit models, so the crotch is natural for padding.  You will need to raise the shoulders, or place a "Filler Pad" between the          legs on the form to create the longer torso.  SO VERSATILE!

        SHORTER TORSOS!

For shorter waists, just lower the twill tape on the dress form, for pants, and raise the twill tape for waisted dresses.

The adjiustments are made by with the pads, raised or lowered on the dress form as you shape its body to match your own.

Padding the Shoulders:

Shoulders can be round or sloping by positioning the Shoulder Pads forward on the dress form. They can also be very straight or asymmetrical with proper positioning of the pads. Bust lines can be duplicated (high, low, or fuller) by placing the Bust Pads in the vertical “up” or vertical “down” position, following the measurement chart and placement diagram.

Padding the Back, Torso, and Hips:

You can add to the sides with the long contoured Side Back Pads for a smaller bust line by creating a wider back or for creating a straight silhouette.  You can raise or lower the waist by placing the Stomach Pad at a higher or lower vertical position on the dress form. Upper Hip Pads are natural love handles, but can also double for a smaller butt. Back Hip Pads will give you a natural hipline: “bag” or “bubble”. Thigh Pads can be raised or lowered for an “apple” to a “pear” shape, or for Petite to very tall.

Filler Pads:

Filler Pads accommodate large bust lines or butts, either by underlying the basic pads or placed along the waist to erase the hourglass of the dress form.  If your vertical measurements are shorter or longer than the dress form you are shaping, the pads can be raised, lowered, or re-positioned vertically as you build out the form horizontally.

Multiple body shapes can be duplicated and changed at will by adding more pads or changing their position. The stretch cover, with industry grain lines, holds all the pads securely in place.  By using all of the pads and filler pads, you can change one dress form into three sizes and infinite shapes! Additional pads and covers will take your form to an even larger size in total or just in certain parts.  Your dress form will have a life-like touch to work with, steam on, and pin into. Ultimately, making it look like a real body!
